After city officers in West Vancouver had the area sealed off for several hours, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was sent there.
According to information provided to Ghsplash News, a stabbing occurred around 5 p.m. in the building’s basement parking garage at Argyle Avenue and West 21st Street.
Liam Goddard, a resident of the building, claims that after speaking to a distressed woman who came up the steps, his mother called 911.
Dr. Francis Amir Este, a former urologist who worked in Port Coquitlam but is currently described as no longer working, is the victim.
Records show he co-owned an apartment in the complex with his mother, who is rumored to have resided there.
In 2017, Este and his mother were a part of a well-known real estate lawsuit.
Just after 2 p.m., B.C. Emergency Health Services was summoned to the scene but did not transport anyone to the hospital.
Tess Koehle, who also resides across the street from the incident, claims she received a long Tuesday home-instruction.
“They currently have a smaller region covered in police tape. Koehle said the entry and exit to 2135 Argyle Avenue’s underground were the only areas covered.
Since around 5 p.m., 2120 Argyle has been on lockdown; however, I am now free to walk around.
At this point, it is unclear why the victim was killed.
Anyone with knowledge about the investigation is asked to contact IHIT by phone at 1-877-551-4448 or by email at .
